Today, at Google I/O, the company announced the Samsung Galaxy S4. I know what you're thinking, "isn't that a TouchWiz phone?" Well, this is no ordinary Galaxy S4, it's an unlocked version of Samsung's new flagship phone sans any sort of skinning on Samsung's part. Read on for more details!
Specs and design of the Galaxy S4 remain untouched, as this is still the Galaxy S4. Beneath the surface is where things start to get interesting - we're looking at a carrier unlock, unlocked bootloader, and direct system updates from Google. 16GB inbuilt storage is standard. June 26 is when the phone will be available and it's going to cost you $649, which is about the price of two Nexus 4's. That said, this model will support LTE and is obviously a much newer, more powerful device. And hey - this might not even be the true "next Nexus."
